Mists of Pandaria Settings not saving

Hello all, 

I played MoP a while ago and wanted to jump back to it so I redownloaded the repack and started playing no problem. When I closed the game, my settings and keybindings were not saving. I read online uncheck the read only option on the folder, however it sasys I don't have permissions to do so I'm running as admin on my PC but still won't work. Any insights?

Disable read-only from the entire folder. You might need to add full control perms to the user.

Your wow folder might be in C:\Program Files, try moving it to downloads or your desktop. Also you'd normally only have to change the read-only status on the config file, not the entire wow folder if that's what you're doing.

thanks all for the suggestions, I will try them tomorrow and see if any of them work! 

Edit: I have changed the folder location and it appears to be working now! thanks for the help!
