Recommended Posts

GOOD AFTERNOON Community. I downloaded the game a few days ago, I get the same error as always, which is that it stays when I log in, it only appears success, I deleted it, downloaded it again and the same error continues. Please I need help.

I am a new player to StormForge, I began yesterday, and after disconnecting from the server this has been the same issue I am having as well. I am using the minimal client, not sure if that matters, but I also couldn't log in after multiple attempts after installing addons and relogging. I deleted the addons from my Addons folder I had installed, and it let me relog back in, very strange.

As of today, I just deleted the minimal client folder, and re-extracted the minimal zip to desktop and installed my addons, launched the game, and no issues logging in. That is until server crashed no more than 10 minutes ago, I tried logging back in, to be greeted with this issue once more.

If anyone has a recommended fix for this please feel free to share, I would greatly appreciate it, I'm sure OP would as well! 🙂

UPDATE: New IP seems to be a temporary fix, I am unsure what is the root cause, but changing my IP in my VPN seems to solve the issue, and allows me to log in.

Update 2: If you do not have VPN options, and are on Windows, try Flushing DNS, Releasing, and Renewing your IP. (Try to log in after step 4., if no success, proceed to step 5.)

Flush DNS Renew Release

To perform a DNS flush, IP release, and IP renew on a Windows computer, follow these steps:

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator: Press Win + X and select “Command Prompt (Admin)” or “Windows PowerShell (Admin)” from the menu.

  2. Release IP Address: In the Command Prompt, type ipconfig /release and press Enter. This command releases the current IP address from your network adapter.

  3. Renew IP Address: Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. This command requests a new IP address from your DHCP server.

  4. Flush DNS Cache: Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. This command clears the DNS resolver cache.

  5. Restart Computer: After completing these steps, it is recommended to restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.
